While I am attending school to become an Early Childhood Educator, I have learned quite a few things… including intergrating technology in the classroom, and how blogging can also help today in the classroom. The internet is vastly used today in society and has become more efficient in our schools system. Learning the different ways in which technology can help me to become a better teacher once I earn my degree has been very intrinsic. In fact it is technology that is helping me currently as I am an online student.
Blogging is an efficient way to get information to the outside world on a whole, as well as to what is going on in the classroom and what one is currently learning whether as a student or teacher. Students and parents alike can benefit from me as a teacher if I use blogs in my classroom, as it would be an efficient way to keep them in the loop of current classroom events. Blogs make integrating technology in the classroom easy as there is no technical knowledge required. Which makes it easy as ones thoughts are instantly posted on the internet. Blogs also make it easy to give feedback to ones thoughts, whether it is a parent or a student or ones peer. At the end of each entry of a Blog, is a comment link for others to give opinions or thoughts about the entries. So welcome to the vast new world of technology and the internet, wow! I must say I look forward to what else is to come to keep us apprised in the classroom today as students and teachers.
